Odoo custom development and integrations.
What standard Odoo does not do, we build on top: integrations with your other software, modules for your own way of working and automation of repetitive work. By our own team in Affligem, built to be upgradable.
Schedule an introductory callOdoo covers most of what an SME needs. The difference is in the rest: a pricing agreement no software package knows, a warehouse that works differently, a webshop or accounting package that has to keep running. We build those pieces on top of standard Odoo, so the rest of your environment stays standard.
What we build
Integrations with your other software
Data your team retypes today flows through an integration: orders from your webshop, shipments to your shipping platform, EDI messages with customers and suppliers. For Exact Online and Winbooks we maintain our own connectors, so your accounting stays filled without double entry. For wholesalers we have also integrated Odoo with the factoring services of Belgian banks.
Modules for your own way of working
What is specific to your industry or your company, we build as a module on top of Odoo. For wholesalers that includes volume pricing across product groups, sales prices that follow your suppliers' prices, margin monitoring on the sales order and automatic pallet splitting in the warehouse. See the modules for wholesalers.
Automation of repetitive work
What your team does the same way every week, Odoo can take over: invoices that go out according to the agreements per customer, grouped payment reminders, a daily logistics schedule. When a fixed rule is not enough, such as with orders that arrive by email, an AI agent prepares a draft that your team reviews and approves.
Odoo behind your own app or device
Odoo can be the foundation for an app, a portal or a device. For Gus Foods we built 19 custom modules: the smart fridges talk directly to Odoo, and the mobile app pulls products, prices and promotions from Odoo through a custom API.
Standard where possible, custom development where it pays off
For every request, we first look at what Odoo itself can already do. Sometimes an existing field or a setting is enough, and then we say so. If custom development is needed, you get an estimate up front. The trade-off is always the same: do the hours the custom development costs outweigh the hours your team saves with it every week? For each part, you decide whether it is worth it to you. For that we ask for one person on your side who makes the call.
How we build
On top of standard Odoo
Custom development lives in separate modules on top of Odoo, not in the code of Odoo itself. That way your environment can move to the current Odoo version. With us, an upgrade is not a condition for building further: we build on the version you use now.
The core goes live first
We put the core of the request live first, so your team is already working with it. What your team really misses after that determines the next extension.
By our own team
Analysis and code happen in-house, from Affligem: no freelancers, no offshoring. You talk to the people who wrote the code.
Tested before it goes live
We test the custom development technically and functionally. Then your team tests it on a test environment, and only then do we put it live.
What customers ask us about custom development
We estimate that up front. We call small things small: for a change of about two hours, we do not make a project. Our whole team works with AI tooling, and that can make custom development surprisingly affordable. The emphasis shifts as a result from writing code to review, technical and functional.
In software almost anything is possible, but not everything is desirable. If you ask for pop-ups that appear as soon as you open a customer, for example, we will tell you that goes against how Odoo works. You pay for that kind of custom development again at every upgrade. We then show what does fit, such as the activities that are already in Odoo CRM .
It migrates along, because we build it to be upgradable from the design stage. The price of such a migration depends on the amount of customization, and we estimate it case by case after a short analysis. With us, an upgrade is also not a condition for building further: we keep working on the Odoo version you use now. And if a problem turns out to be not a custom development error but a bug in Odoo itself, we say so and look for a workable alternative. After that, we follow up the bug with Odoo for the structural solution.
Usually, yes. For Exact Online and Winbooks we have our own connectors that we maintain ourselves. For other packages we build the integration, or we use an existing one if it is good enough. We also look together at whether the package should stay: what has been running reliably for years, we leave in place.
Custom modules do not run on Odoo Online. For that, you move to Odoo.sh or to hosting that we manage. With configuration, a lot is possible on Odoo Online. We look together at what fits you, see also online, Odoo.sh or your own hosting.
Yes, regularly. We start with an audit of a few days: what does the code do, what is actually used, where is the pain. That leads to honest advice, and that is not always more code. We once took over an environment with a custom module of eleven thousand lines of code; our proposal was a lighter setup. Sometimes the advice is also: this custom development is well built, leave it in place.
